PG Soft – the name is short for Pocket Games Soft, and the “pocket” is the whole strategy – is a studio founded in 2015 that built a following across Asian-facing markets before expanding internationally. Its catalogue of roughly 190 games is small next to the volume suppliers, but it is one of the few studios where every design decision visibly follows from a single premise: this will be played on a phone.
PG Soft favours colourful, animation-heavy slots with strong thematic identity and mascot-style characters. Volatility generally spans medium to high, and the visual production is closer to a mobile game than to a casino product – character animations, transitions and celebratory sequences that most competitors would consider unnecessary weight.
The other consistent trait is grid experimentation. Rather than a fixed five-reel layout, many titles use dynamic grids that expand or reshape during a feature, which is what most of the studio’s proprietary mechanics are built around.
PG Soft holds licences covering the UK, Malta and Gibraltar – a strong European position for a studio whose origins are elsewhere, and one that requires per-title certification in each market.
More useful still: PG Soft does not offer casinos a menu of RTP configurations. Its returns are consistent across operators and mostly sit above 96%. On a site where Hacksaw ships builds down to 88% and ELK to 87%, that predictability is a real advantage – the figure you read here is the figure you will get, whichever licensed casino you open.
Beyond the five titles below, the Mahjong Ways series is the studio’s biggest success and the clearest example of its dynamic-grid design. Fortune Ox, Fortune Tiger and the wider Fortune line are enormously popular across Asian and Latin American markets, built on simple grids with fast round times. Lucky Neko, Treasures of Aztec and Ways of the Qilin round out the catalogue’s best-known entries. If you have seen PG Soft mentioned anywhere, it was probably one of these.
This is the studio’s whole argument, and it won Best Mobile Game Provider at the 2022 International Gaming Awards on the strength of it. Games are designed for the phone first and scaled up for desktop, with portrait layouts, thumb-reachable controls and short round times suited to interrupted sessions. Free demo versions are available with unlimited play before switching to real money.
Our five titles are the newest set on the site, released 2024 to 2025, and they carry the highest RTP band of any supplier here: 96.74% to 96.81%. Volatility covers low, medium and high, so the range is genuinely varied rather than nominally so. Ceilings run from 2,000x on Rio Fantasia to 10,000x on Knockout Riches, and themes are Asian, Aztec, carnival and sport.
A strong option for phone play, the RTP figures are among the best available, and – unusually – they are the same wherever you play them.

Vivid, character-driven slot design and strong popularity across Asian-facing casino markets before its wider international expansion. Mahjong Ways, Fortune Ox and Fortune Tiger are the titles it is most recognised by.
Yes. It holds licences covering the UK, Malta and Gibraltar, markets that require each title to be certified individually before release.
No. Returns are consistent across casinos and mostly sit above 96%. That makes it one of the few studios on this site – alongside Endorphina and Spadegaming – where the published figure is reliably the one you will actually play.
Pocket Games Soft. The name describes the strategy: the studio designs for a phone screen first and scales up to desktop, rather than shrinking a desktop layout down. It won Best Mobile Game Provider at the 2022 International Gaming Awards on that basis.
A layout that changes shape during play instead of staying fixed at five reels. Grids expand, add rows or reshape as a feature progresses, which increases the number of ways to win mid-round. Most of PG Soft’s proprietary mechanics are built around it.
Simple grids, short round times and low minimum stakes, which suit mobile play on limited data and small bankrolls. They became fixtures in Asian and Latin American markets for practical reasons rather than because of any unusual mechanic.
