Sugar Rush 1000 was released in 2024 as the heavy sequel to Sugar Rush, and the number in the title refers to the multiplier ceiling on a single grid position: 1,024x. The original’s ceiling was a fraction of that, and its maximum win was 5,000x against 25,000x here.
The grid is 7×7 and pays by cluster: five or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically form a win. Winners are removed, symbols above fall in, and the sequence continues until a tumble produces nothing – the same tumbling logic as the studio’s other grids, applied to clusters instead of counts.
The published return is 96.53% and volatility is high. Stakes start at 0.20.
Our specification table used to show 97.5%, which is higher than any build Pragmatic Play publishes for this title. The lower figures elsewhere in our catalogue are genuine reduced-return builds that operators install, but a figure above the published maximum cannot be an operator variant. The game’s own rules screen, opened on 30 August 2026, gives 96.53%, and that is what the table carries now; if you see something different in a casino’s information screen, that screen is the authority for your session.
Sugar Rush 1000 Features

Multiplier Spots
The mechanic the game is built on, and the one worth understanding before staking anything. When a winning cluster is removed, the positions it occupied are marked. If a position is used by a winning cluster a second time within the same tumble sequence, it gains a 2x multiplier. Every further win on that position doubles it: 2x, 4x, 8x and onward, to a maximum of 1,024x per position.
Multipliers from different positions are added together and applied to clusters that land on top of them. Two positions at 8x and 16x contribute 24x, not 128x. This is the same additive rule as the studio’s other games, and it is the single most common source of disappointed arithmetic.
Free Spins
Three, four, five, six or seven scatters in the same tumble sequence award 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 free spins respectively. The important difference from the base game is not the number of spins: inside the feature, position multipliers do not reset between spins. They accumulate across the whole round.
That single rule is where 25,000x comes from and why the base game cannot approach it. A long feature on a grid where a dozen positions have been doubling since the first spin behaves nothing like the same feature that started slowly.
Ante Bet and Bonus Buy
Ante bet raises the stake by 25% for improved scatter frequency, and where offered the buy costs a fixed multiple. Neither changes the published return; both raise turnover per hour. On a game whose entire ceiling depends on a long accumulating round, the buy is particularly easy to over-use.
What the Numbers Say

1,024x per position and 25,000x overall are both real and both far out in the tail. Reaching the cap needs a free spins round where multiple positions double repeatedly and then get covered by winning clusters – a compound event, not a single lucky drop.
The practical figure is the feature length: 10 spins at three scatters, 30 at seven. Because multipliers persist, a 30-spin round is worth disproportionately more than three 10-spin rounds. That is unusual – in most slots the number of free spins scales linearly with value – and it is the one genuine strategic fact about this game, though nothing in your control affects which you get.
Base game sessions are quiet. The cluster grid produces frequent small wins that rarely add up, because multipliers reset at the end of every tumble sequence outside the feature.
Mobile Play and Demo
Browser-based on any device. A 7×7 grid on a phone is dense – forty-nine positions with multiplier badges on some of them – and reading a busy screen mid-tumble is genuinely harder here than on a five-reel slot. Worth a demo session on the device you actually play on, not just to learn the maths but to see whether the display suits you.
Summary
The most mechanically interesting of Pragmatic Play’s sequels, because the persistence rule inside free spins genuinely changes how the game behaves rather than only enlarging a number. It is also unforgiving: the base game exists to fund a feature whose value depends on lasting long enough to compound.
If the idea appeals but the volatility does not, the original Sugar Rush uses the same grid with a 5,000x ceiling and a much shorter tail.
